An updated crane permit was filed today, and the crane goes up Nov. 18-20.

It's still so good to see progress here when for so long it was basically a dirt parking lot....

I had to read the title twice (and look at nearby buildings) before I believed the photo. So glad this is happening.

The crane didn't go up as scheduled this weekend. But the dates on the permit were changed to 12/02 to 12/04. We've been waiting a couple years for this one, so a couple more weeks is no big deal.

Yup. The crane installation for this one was rescheduled per the permit to this coming weekend.

Any news on a deal between Plaza Lofts and the hotel? I know that owners at the Hilton/W get certain amenities in the hotel, and the Shore on Rainey can order room service from the Hotel Van Zandt and gets access to their pool, etc. Anyone know anything about that for Plaza Lofts? It would make sense to do something like that...

There may be a link to an article with that info somewhere in this thread. But IIRC all they got was a redesigned parking garage wall on the side that faces the Lofts. Prior to that the residents on the lower levels would have had a very close up view of cars parking with plenty of exhaust fumes wafting in the air on their balconies.
