Just a few 1930s St. Louis pics

Literally just a few pics. One is of my grandpa and his family in the mid 1930s, the other 2 of my great grandpa in a bar he frequented and one of him in front of a bar he ran. Anyone with more info at their disposal of St. Louis would be appreciated as you can see the address on the door to the bar and can see the business sign across the street. On the back of the pic frame was written "St. Louis Ave at Spring across from Carter Carburetor", however I don't know if that's really accurate or not.

These are amazing! I could swear that my close friend's grandparents ran the Hyde Park Tavern-- I'm going to have to find out.

**EDIT** I just noticed that Hyde Park is the name of the beer, not the tavern. Oh well. It's still awesome!

Not to hijack this thread, but I have just a couple pictures of my great-grandpa Harry's shoe repair shop from around the same era. Located near the intersection of Warne & West Florissant in North St. Louis:

Taverns used to be sponsored by breweries. I don't know of this place that you're talking about, but don't rule out the tavern being named after the beer just yet.

Great pics!

I love that you can see the photographer's reflection in the window in this one:

You should consider donating these to a St. Louis history museum if there is one... they love primary documents like this.
