Found Photos

Here's a sticky thread for people to post whatever interesting photos they happen to find (please credit them). I figured this would be useful for single photos not worth creating an entire thread for.

For anyone who enjoys the various architectural styling of Dalhousie Universities three Halifax campuses, this is a must see (and read):

Bad quality pic but this is the Bedford Waterfront last year. Hard to believe from all the trees but this is our "downtown". I'm gonna get some better one's up once the weather warms up

Awesome, that's where I work. I see the expansion getting bigger everyday, I just never have my camera with me.

As much as I feel threatened by crazy NIMBY talk, I have to feel good knowing that this city will have to eventually press inward as energy prices rise. I'm kinda pissed about the Bedford fast ferry, it practially deals with subway-like distances.

TBH, with the rate that energy prices are increasing, I'm surprised that theres still people out there who aren't open to densification, and still want to see this city sprawl endlessly. Everbody is crying about how much it costs to fuel their car, but when a high rise is proposed, many of those same people seem to be up in arms about it.

But I too feel good knowing that it will have to happen. It should be happening right now. Oil and fuel prices are expected to DOUBLE in just the next 4 years alone.

GO HARBOUR!!! I wonder if that sign will be up once the Harboure Solutions is operating. I want to go swimming with mutant fish!!

Seriously though that is a cool picture. Where is it taken? Black Rock Beach or elsewhere?

Took this myself a couple of weeks ago. Never thought to post it here. Stitched it together from about 12 separate images. Enjoy everyone!

Thats an awesome picture! The two insanely bright lights makes it pretty clear where the dockyards are located.

Great photo HaliStreaks! I love the reflections on the water, but I imagine they must have proven to be a real pain when it came time to stitch the photos together properly.
