I think the design is quite good for a building that is on a side street with no frontage on a main street.

Not sure about that one. It doesn't appear that the doors to the outside are the "primary" entrances to those units. It would be better if those units were actual 2-storey units with no entrance from the corridor. It would ensure the doors to the outside are maintained.

I found a couple of higher-quality renderings in the UDRP Formal Review, May 7th, 2021.

Taggart creates excruciatingly boring buildings. Hire a decent architect!

I'm not hating this, and here's why. The area is a hot bed for well designed (if not always well executed) flashy (by Ottawa standards) towers. Having one plain project is not the worse thing. Not competing with the rest. Possibly more affordable prices.

Good height for the area. Doors to the street. Decent addition to a fast densifying area.

I agree with J.OT13. I don't hate this. Great density for the neighbourhood that will hopefully slowly transition away from single-family homes.

I don't think they are doing themselves any favours with the colour of the bricks though. Maybe it's just how it is showing up in the renderings but it needs some work. Also, the patchwork application of the different brick colours is not good.

Would love if the ground units were two floors, maybe you could get some three bedrooms in them. Would make this building an option to more families.

They've started driving in pilings around the perimeter of the site. I assume excavation could start before the end of the winter.

Decent progress considering the size of the footprint.
