HOLY GRILL IS GOING TO HAVE A FOOD TRUCK???

Yes, all caps was necessary. I freaking love that place. The best part about it though, is when the guy calls out your name when your order is up. "And Steven please, Steven" (obviously not my name). That makes my day. South Beach Benny is terrific as is the Bacon Avocado Crisp.

Went there last weekend and was pretty impressed, though it was really busy and a bit of a gong show. I found it slightly easier to get a table than Galaxie. lol

No major culinary losses here, but what looks to be a whack of closures at 17th Ave & 4th St: Wicked Chili, Mi Mexico Lindo (formerly La Casita Mexicana) and Bob the Fish all had their windows papered over yesterday.

I've noticed their windows papered over a couple times in the past, but they were always open the next weekend with no apparent changes inside.

Hadn't made it to either of the restaurants, but with 66% and 30% ratings on Urban Spoon, I suppose I shouldn't care.

Nice.

Also, there's a new one called Cheezy Bizness coming this spring:

http://www.cheezybizness.com/
@cheezybiz

Looks like grilled cheese and tomato soup etc.

In total I heard about another 10-12 trucks will be rolling this spring/summer.

Wow, that's a lot of trucks. The competition for primo spots is going to be fierce this summer.

I welcome more trucks and look forward to the variety.I do hope increased competition doesn't ruin the sense of community that exists within the Food Truck community.

Yep, about once a year it seems BTF did that. No loss on the others, we went to Wicked Chili once and vowed to never set foot inside the door of either location again (is their one up off Symons Valley by the Rona still open?)

Lunch today at Charcut with Wooster and his Mrs, followed by a coffee from Deville. Man, I forgot just how good the coffee here is. Philly's 2 or 3 3rd wave Shops have nothing on our good shops.

Oh Jimby! You already know that I don't agree with the #1 choice. Shame, shame!

On another note, John Gilchrist did is second review of Rush. Gave it a glowing 9/10. I haven't been since the first year it opened. But that being siad, my friends who have gone recently were very impressed!

I have mixed feelings about Rush. My employer has held our Xmas party there for the past 3 years - it's primarily finger foods (butlered hors d'oeuvres and sushi) plus some carvings (suckling pig and prime rib) and seafood (crabs legs, shrimp). The food is always excellent.

However, my wife and I went there for dinner last spring and we were rather underwhelmed. I can't really put my finger on it - there was nothing wrong with the meal or the service but nothing really stood out for us. We've had better food and service elsewhere so I think we were simply expecting more.

I didn't realize there were way more lists of the "best of" which is more interesting and valuable info than the top 10 list.
I liked Brava, but there was nothing that made me want to return.

I love that Cowtown Beefshack made the lists. Rightfully so I may add.

Why no food truck list?

Also surprised to see a restaurant like Farm no where on any list. That place is amazing.
