In regards to the latest render for the site that people are calling generic... that was from a design review panel meeting and is preliminary and only meant to illustrate massing, not finishes, so let's wait before we all lose our horses. That meeting was also months ago so it's likely that the design will have changed based on panel feedback, which was to make the tower taller and slimmer as well as to incorporate stone and brick finishes to contextualize it.

Source: I was at the meeting.

If you read back in the thread before posting you might also learn a thing or too about the developments past. In this case, those other renders are from when the site had a different owner/developer

The prospect of the city's light rail transit line, among other changes here, drew him to Hamilton, Kemper says.

"Without the LRT, we wouldn't be building this building."

------
There is soooo much money waiting on the sidelines for LRT.

Too bad buildings like this are being proposed in the middle of nowhere.

Between this and what has been proposed for the northwest corner (any news on that?) this intersection will be very different.

imagine if the LRT doesn't get built - at least we'll have some new buildings out of it

I noticed a second sign posted indicating there is also a meeting on October 5th. I live next door and received this notice in the mail; looks like the October 5th meeting is regarding zoning variances for the sales centre.
