Anyone know of this site and what it will be?! Its on bold street west between Hess and queen. It looks very interesting and is a fair size lot. Anyone,anyone?.....bueller??

Paul Wilson wrote an article on Mike and Dave Valavasori (developers of the Allenby School and Dundas District High School lofts) back in Dec. 2014

I used to walk past this place all the time when it was an urban jungle surrounding an old little cottage style home. (obviously bulldozed)
To the left of the property was one of those large white painted zoning signs over grown with brush.
I remember it saying application for zoning 6-8 homes. No real picture but a drawing maybe sketched terrace-style boxy-like houses.
Really surprised to see it happening but pleased just the same. It sat that way for a very long time At least five years, even longer.
Great plot to infill.

Walked by last night. Too dim to get a good pic but this is coming along nicely. Very traditionally designed, lots of roof peaks. They've got stone and red brick samples along the front wall which look good. Windows are also mostly in. Really nice little filler. I believe there's a surface lot on the west side but seeing as this building only has like 19 units that feels fine to me.

I'm not sure how they can still get away with a surface parking lot on the frontage. The parking should have been in the back.

the lot is more to the side of the building rather than in front of it. Part of the building fronts pretty close to the sidewalk. My guess is it will be landscaped nicely as this is a smaller boutique condo project.

Wow! I'm really impressed with this project! It looks like a great fit for the neighbourhood, and use of more traditional materials sounds amazing.

it looks ok so far but I stand by my last comment. Why on earth wouldn't they make them turn it to face the street with the parking in the back? Heck even an L shape with less parking would make me happier. Sure, Bold is pretty much destroyed east of Queen from those apartment buildings, but why keep up the status quo? If this were 50 metres west it would be a travesty.
