bOiSe ~ Summer MMX ~ Fête de l'amour

Summer in Boise as seen through my camera. It has been hot, downtown is the place to be, the Boise River offers a cool retreat from the heat, and Jaialdi, a Basque party, attracted Basque visitors from around the world to celebrate their culture in Boise which has one of the largest populations of Basques outside of Spain and France.

The Twilight Criterium

Morrison-Knudsen Nature Center, just outside of downtown near the area in the previous photo

Lucky Peak area near the city

Mores Mountain Hiking Trail near Bogus Basin which is at the top of the mountains above Boise

As always Sawtooth, your Boise threads never fail to impress. Boise looks excellent! What's the humidity like? Low I would imagine?

Very low. Typical for all the Mountain West.

Another great thread.

Thanks Shawn, Tony and Robert.

Like Tony said the humidity is low, it is a very dry heat in the summer. Typical temps in Boise during July and August are highs in the 90's and lows in the 60's. The mountains and forests north of Boise are generally 10 to 15 degrees cooler than the valley is during summer.

Fantastic set, Sawtooth. Thank you for reminding me of the lower obesity rates up in Boise. The south is semi-depressing in that regard.

Every time I see Boise on SSP, it looks quite lively and active for a city it's size. I am finding myself interested more and more..

One of my favorite aspects of Boise is that this vibrant, small to midsized city is surrounded by a lot of nature, there is so much out there beyond the valley that it could take a lifetime to explore it all.

CRE8IVEDESTRUCTION, I would hope most sane people would not take that silly website seriously, and thanks for the compliment Digging deeper in that site I discovered where the ingrate lives who runs the site, and knowing that explains it all. The state he resides in is so used to being the brunt of jokes and misunderstood that some people from there, not all of course, like to direct their insecurities towards other states to try to make themselves feel better, when in fact, as proven by this person, is that they really do not know as much as they think they do and have probably never even left the boundaries of their own state.
