It's a constant battle trying to preserve our historic structures. The building quoted in my last post, was actually moved across the street so the federal government could expand their Salt Lake courthouse. Of course the federal government payed for the relocation, but some people didn't think it was worth it and thought it should just be demolished. I was in favor of relocating the federal courthouse to an entirely new location if it meant demolition of the odd fellows hall. This was the compromise.

T-Mac:

I think you should update your first post to include the pictures featured in your later posts, so they're all together.

I have now moved all my photos to the first post so that they are all together and I have added additional shots of some of the homes on South Temple and also the McCune Mansion.

Hey T-Mac, I'm going to be referring to and using some of your pics on the other threads the next few days, so I'm going to give it a little bump. Thanks again for the superb photography.

Oh, and I was going to ask you if you had any pics of the Masonic Temple and the Devereaux. Also, and I can't remember it's name, the old mid-rise with the Gothic Revival facade on South Temple, where I think they're going to build an adj. chapel on the parking lot?

What about the Judge Building and the Karen and McOllick Buildings on Main Street?

Orlando, the Judge, Lollin and Karrick buildings are pictured on the first page in the grouping of all the photos.

Delts, I have been thinking about photographing the Masonic Temple and was will hopefully find some time when the light is decent over the next couple of weeks. While I am down there, I will grab shots of the others that you mentioned as well.

Beautiful photos! There are more historic buildings in SLC then I would expect.
