Chicago/ Aqua Tower Views

I'm a New Orleanian who went to Chicago for the first time last week for the Urban Land Institute Conference. I gotta say, I was blown away, I liked Chicago way more than I thought I would. I liked it much better than New York. It was cleaner, less smothering, much more livable while still being huge. The architecture can't truly be appreciated just in photos. And the Autumn colors were insane.

It was the Fifth of November...

Who's got the swank view up in the Aqua? That would have been a nice person to know when I stayed there back in May.

Very nice! Thanks for sharing.

The views from the Aqua are amazing. We´re not used to see views from that tower. As you say, Chicago is fascinating, even more by Fall with those bright colours.

I really love Chicago and I´m wishing to return there again.

Congrats and greetings from Madrid, Spain.

Not particularly. I think the particular slab we were sitting on was recessed inward a little to much and the ones above and below us further out, so you couldn't see much. Plus it was ridiculously terrifying to even get near the railing, let alone peer up or down it and take photos.

I'm not lucky enough to know anyone living there, it was just on one of the tours offered by the conference I was attending.

Cool. Yeah that was a pretty intense view and the wind really wipes around that building like something fierce.

The Aqua Tower has gotta be the coolest building to arise in Chicago since Lake Point Tower. I saw it back in Sept. 2009.

I don't know why, but no matter how many high rises they put up in Chicago, I still expect to walk past the Willis Tower and see corn fields! I just can't seem to shake myself of that feeling I'm still in the Midwest!

Nice pics but River city has to be one of the ugliest residential developments around.

Great view from Aqua. I'd love to take some photos from up there!
