^Knock it off, both of you. Not one more word on this.

And Speedopro, you need a new avatar--one that is not sexually suggestive.

The photos below were taken from De-an Department Store(near 5 on the map):

summer 2006:

(for this section, not much has been done since last year)

aug 2007:

Two bonus pics of Neihu's old district:

New AIT's site is just right next to the condo with the domed top.

I've noticed that a lot of new apartments' styles look similar to the condo in the foreground. I was wondering where this kind of design(tiles, windows..etc.) came from. ..just copies after copies...

Actually, there's a reason why the curves have their different appearances.

Those curvy arch-ish concrete overpasses are pretensioned concrete structures, those are designed for long spans across major roads or rivers. Stressed cables within the structure improve the loading capacity of the span, and that's done without adding additional weight to the structure.

^The "Other" type of concrete curve is simply the typical U-shaped prefabricated bridge section used in the Neihu project.

^The steel ones are mostly for tight curves (I.E the final turn into the Nankang exhibition hall station or that insane 110 degree right turn at the end of Fuxing N. Rd), Those prolly perform better then the pretensioned concrete ones under those conditions.

btw speedo i also lurk @ the sss.cn Taipei boards, my username starts with a K and has 3 letters , guess who I am

Today in the Taipei Times there was an article about Taipei MRT. If you look at the picture is says

"Democratic Progressive Party Taipei City councilors take a test ride on the unfinished Neihu Line yesterday. The city councilors, who boarded the train at Jiannan station, complained that the space inside the new trains is too small, making it difficult to move."

But I thought that the trains were the same size as the Zoo trains. Why do they look so small in the picture?
