Vancouver: Saturday Night Fever...

Something a little different from me, these photos were all taken on one night (Saturday night 12am-3am) on one big photo walk last night/morning (from the time of this post).
I've taken many photos of Vancouver but I don't have many nighttime photos. So I've been determined to change that. All of these were handheld, which explains some of the blurriness, maybe too much coffee explains it as well. They kind of get less blurry as you scroll down.
I'd like to get out with a tripod and take some crisper photos one day. But this will have to do for now.
Enjoy!

This is actually the 20,000th photo I've taken on this camera. Time flies:

Friends of mine semi-recently opened up this tattoo and piercing shop on Commercial Drive so I gotta send a shout out to it:

The Waldorf has been around since 1947 and has one of the oldest (circa 1960s?) in-tact tiki rooms in North America in the basement. The hotel was given a new lease on live when the building was bought and turned into a nightclub/performance venue/restaurant a couple years ago. It's hard to imagine Vancouver without it now. It's a regular haunt of mine and within walking distance to my house.
The link on their website explains stuff better than I just did so give it a click:

Movie shoot:

At least they're polite about it:

The Astoria, another east Van institution, but sadly, I have yet to go:

Yup, those are Madonna's tour buses. She was playing on this night:

Full moon, which may explain all the crazy people out and about. On second thought, it was probably just booze...:

I could have gone on and on but it was already 2:45am and the night bus was leaving soon. So after a quick coffee, I decided to call it a night. Morning, whatever:

Thanks for viewing

I've done a very similar walk many nights. Suprised I wasn't caught in any of your shots haha. Sure you met some interesting people on this walk...

I was wondering what all those buses were!
