Because they cost money... Propose them to get a warmer reception at the meetings and then hope people enjoy the blank wall they leave when they're done.

WOW

I never would have thought that that northeastern LSE lot would have received a signature tower like this. I love the look of it. The new rendering for parcel 0 is a bit questionable IMO, it looks quite confused and composed of 4 different styles mashed with no transitioning

I love the skinny profile of this. The fact that it gets wider at the top is also very exciting!

I just wish they addressed that party wall on the Chandler... ugh. Some people mentioned ivy, but honestly I don't think that would be enough. How much would it cost to glad it in a curtain wall, with the sole purpose of covering up the painted concrete?

Should a separate thread be created in the proposal section for Site I?

Not sure if this is the latest render of the 12-story project at South and Harlem, along the Green Line, but it is shown on the Oak Park Economic Development Corp's website:

Architect is listed as RTKL

Harry is this a clever inside joke of yours? Did they misspell their own building during construction or something?

Yeah the stuff is quite prolific in conditions it likes. It likes shade, lots and lots of shade. I have ivy in the front yard of my two flat and it have to constantly hack it back or it gets up to all sorts of trouble. I found a tendril that had forced it's way up under my siding, through the wall cavity, and then back out through the top of the baseboard inside the apartment. By the time I caught it there was 6 inches of fresh ivy growing out of my wall! I mean what light was it following to push through 10"+ of siding, wall cavity, and trim???

Walked past this site this evening and saw scaffolding up along Wabash. Looks like site prep is about to begin, on top of the parking garage. The website (www.renellechicago.com) states 3- and 4-bedroom condos starting at $1.3 million.
