If they are driving piles, then this is the real deal. That's much more than necessary to keep a permit alive.

Ok i asked him again because i just realized the pile driving is already done ... hw said looked like they were uncovering the piles with bulldozers . Not sure what that means but yeah there shouldnt be any pile driving needed since that was already done

Probably preparing to pour foundation caps maybe ?

Drove by this morning and definitely no pile-driving.
3 Backhoes on site uncovering dirt around the pilings and dump trucks moving it offsite.

Have no idea what that means, just reporting... Guess its better than zero activity.

I really don't remember them ever putting new pilings in after the woolworth demo, did they really?

Yeah manne people would complain endlessly but that's a perfect level of density for major roads throughout the city! I like but don't love the design too but more importantly if it is functional and affordable perfect

I drove by yesterday and i saw them uncovering the piles (almost ran over a pedestrian i was rubbernecking so badly trying to see what was happening). I assumed they were removing old wood piles to put down concrete ones but since they already drove the piles it has to mean they are digging to form the foundation. That would be a really good sign.

yeah so my thinking thats its concrete pile caps is likely correct

the virgn has some issue they need to address variance wise i think.. the canopy (no one knows) .. i wouldnt be surprised to see something else happen there at this point...

Tulane is doing a big PR push today for it too: http://news.tulane.edu/pr/freeman-sc...trepreneurship. It says their portion will have space for 240 students and 19 faculty/staff offices and will open in January 2019. Interesting tidbit that 35,000 people work within walking distance of the building.
