Here, you can see the view from the top of the 75 meter tower crane:

Yeah the current top of the construction would be the floor of the 5th floor, even though the office actually does look pretty dominant now as it is.

There is one more Office Floor, then Roof, and a Mechanical Penthouse at the center core of the building. I'm thinking the penthouse roof will be pretty close to the bottom of the last section of crane tower from looking at the pictures. Hope the crane is tall enough lol

Steel is being fabricated right now for the remainder of the building and should be pretty close to being erected within a month. Fastening the deck down is what is taking lots of time.

Over 1000 Tons of steel in this building

If there is only really two more floors left, how will the 48m building almost reach the last section of the 75m crane? Is there something I'm missing?

No worries, it won't reach the height of the crane

I know that! But if it does "almost reach the top section of the crane" as the other person stated, it will certainly be taller than 47 meters which would not be a bad thing at all!

The building height will be aproximately 47 meters, and the construction so far should be about 36 meters. The crane is reported to be 75 meters but it doesn't look quite that high. Just wondering, are there any vantage points over the hill where you can see only the crane?

If there's two more floors and a mechanical penthouse to go and the crane is 75m, it would appear the building would be more than 47m. Maybe it's the angle at which those pictures were taken gives the impression the building is taller. Hmmm, interesting to note.

Yeah something isn't right. The crane is quoted at 75m high, and the building at 47m, but there doesn't appear to be that much height between the two now. I'm thinking the crane is shorter than quoted. And no, there isn't any part of town where you can see the crane before really approaching downtown that I know of.

To answer Architype, I don't think the crane is visible from any vantage point over the hill. I have looked and have not been able to see it. I have been doubting that the crane is 75m up for some time now. There is definitely not 39m between the crane and the existing steel structure.

Maybe the crane can extend up to 75m but is not fully extended? Idk, but certainly does not seem 75m to me.

I'd say this is the case. I'm not sure what would happen if a building approved for 47m was built higher. I would assume some heavy fines would be levied. Does anyone know what would happen in this case?

Level 0 parking elevation is 1.7m. Top of penthouse roof elevation is 48.295m. Therefore, from level 0 (which is slightly below ground level I think), The building is 46.595m. So yeah, the tower crane certainly doesn't look to be 75m high (at least from the pictures anyway).

Although this is 99.999% not the case, it would be interesting to see how the city would react if they added a few floors without permission!

I would support it! But I think some of the public and all the councilors would grab their pitchforks and torches and follow shannie to burn it down

Although it won't happen, the reactions would be entertaining and interesting

Thanks; so, the correct height is 46.6 roughly. Previous figures we used had probably added the height of a main roof parapet wall extension (rather than the height of the roof itself) along with the height of the penthouse as being 47.4.

If that were to happen, they would be given a stop work order from the city. If they just had to make a minor adjustment, however, I expect it would be no big deal.
