Cool. I was wondering if you guys made it out there. Did you take the trails to Rundle from Dawson like the original plan? Or did you start at Ada?

^ Nobody got back to me but I went out there the next day because It's just really erie out there. The place is so abandoned they don't even bother to keep the chain link gates locked out to the dilapidated boardwalk. This last time, there were a few people around but for the most part it's like the science park that time forgot. Shit you not.

Anyone see those jets over the city tonight ? That was fucking cool. I snapped a few pix as I was driving but by the time I could pull over at the Baccarat they'd all flown by.

The more I see them, the more I like the Oxford / City Centre towers. Especially with the re-clad.

I'm out of town at the moment, though, any chance you got a pic of the supposed upgraded cap on the CC tower?

Great pics, 240...the Science Park really is a bit eery as it's being reclaimed. Nice work.

Great photo thread 240!
I was surprised about the Science Park. I had read about when it was first built in a brochure for the Capital City Park when i was a kid. I didn't know it was even closed. Why was it closed?

^ I believe it is the way it 'weathers' in our climate. I am not sure.

Wrong CMD UW, the 'brown' appearance of the asphalt comes from the way the settings are set on the camera. Everything else looks brown in the photos that show 'brown' asphalt.

I was riding my bike on Kingsway Ave when I saw 4 of them in formation flying overhead, then each of them peeled away one-by-one for landing. I quickly pulled my bike over and waited on the grass just at the end of the runway. I enjoyed watching them descend right over my head to land.

I really wish I had my camera with me!

Well, I've been to your city many times before and I can indeed tell you that you guys have asphalt that turns brown with age.

Same thing happens when you leave anything black in the sun for an extended period of time. Its called wear and tear.

^ No kidding.

And in any case, I -live- in this city, and I would not call it brown regardless of age.
