Man, I think that all of the little 3-8 floor buildings in that area of the city won't be around for much longer if these taller developments keep going up one block at a time...

It's now official on the Claridge website. 91 Nepean is The District Condominiums. Makes things interesting for sales as it is already at ground level along with 70 Gloucester which I assume is still rentals.

Funny how it looks like it's already half the height of the Place Export Canada building in Admiral Nelson's first pic...isn't the building 26+ Floors?

I think it's also across the street so depth perception is playing a trick on us.

Also... I think you mean "Place Shopify"

Shopify moving to 234 Laurier

It's interesting that it's between the 8th and 9th floor pours, and it seems kinda tall already...or am I imagining things?

Is it just me or did they not put the tower on the same side of the lot as the renderings?? From the renders I saw the tower seems to be placed on the nepean side of the lot (South) but now it looks like its going up on the gloucester side (North)....

If this is the case then whats going on the nepean side?? Why did they pour all that concrete there?

It's a 2-phase project, parking garage/all G.F./north tower first. South tower (how tall?) afterward. Claridge has not left multi-phase projects go un-built. Tribeca, Lebreton, Stirling, Plazas - so who knows when they will start on the South?

Ok... another 27 storey tower. I guess planners are going for the Berlin Holocaust Memorial look.

The best part of this project is not the design itself but that it will obstruct the view of that unfinished West wall on 150 Metcalfe (from a lot of angles at least). Though Tribeca was a bit of a disappointment IMO it's quite the little cluster of new builds with Tribeca 1/2, 150 Elgin, Flaherty, and this guy.

What I want to know is what these buildings look like. I cannot find the development application at all. It won't resemble older renderings since the windows facing Metcalfe aren't the smaller, scattered ones I saw in older images. The rendering Claridge recently released does not match the balcony profile that they have built so far, at least on the Gloucester tower (side note - those balconies are a joke, you could fit one chair out there). I haven't seen any images of both towers. I am worried that there is going to be a plain black brick wall facing Metcalfe Street.

Yet another Claridge mystery I guess. Better to not show us what they are going to look like so we can't be disappointed when they cut corners.
