They don't have to excavate a huge pit which would significantly add to the build time. So I would say very late 2018 is possible.

Both 70 Rainey & Third + Shoal updated their crane permits this week. They should both be going up very soon. IIRC Third + Shoal will have two.

70 Rainey Crane is going up right now. Happy to see things moving again, hiccups are ok as long as we recover

Well, I'll be. I'm excited to see it happen, pity it won't be it's original height, though.

Glad to see that they're back from Tunisia with the crane. It took them 8 months to get the crane to ATX but now we can relish! It's finally here!!

Has anyone been by the site to see if this one has actually progressed beyond erecting the crane that took several months to arrive after it left Tunisia?

There's a decent sized hole in the ground now, but not much beyond that yet. Don't have pics though, although I can try for some after work.

Passed by last night and I remember seeing rebar sticking out of the ground.

Sorry about the gigantic picture, that's actually the first time I've ever shared a picture on here.

And in case anyone wanted to see, here's the view from the other side of the balcony:
