Buffalo, The City of Good Neighbors

Birthplace of Rick James, the air conditioner and of course the first (and still the best) chicken wings. Also home to my alma mater, Buffalo State, a ton of friends and family and a terrible football team although I'm not here to discuss that...just to show off some pictures from a bunch of trips in the past 2 years

Nice pictures! I like the little bit of Black Buffalo. Are those from the East Side?

Thanks yall!

Some from the west side (off Niagara close to the peace bridge) and some from the east side (fillmore/jefferson). I brought my bike one summer for a week stay and got to 'explore the hood'

Awesome thread and its cool you have a "We never Close" store.

Are they going to renovate the ol train station tower? It's so beautiful-I remember seeing it on my Amtrak train travels.

thanks! We Never Close was a college staple! Only store that was open 24 hours near by Buffalo State College. As for the train station, probably not. It's costly and relatively far from downtown

i get a funny mix of vibes from buffalo. there's like an old new york state-y city hiding in there encased or mixed with a northeastern midwest twentieth century industrial boomtown somehow.

at least thats what i get from the photos. i haven't actually explored the city, just have passed through.
