I like the idea of another meetup, too, but I think we may have a better chance of a good turnout in September or later. There are probably a lot of us booked up most weekends from now til August, I imagine.
To be the devil's advocate, all of the groups you have mentioned have unchangeable, innate characteristics like gender, skin colour, racial features or sexual orientation.
The group you bring into the mix has characteristics which are largely behavioural. No one forces you to wear tape on your glasses. It's your choice.
I have no idea what's going on here. SSP is a forum where we casually discuss local development and exchange sarcasm, wit, and silly banter. I take no offence to Aylmer's picture, and would proudly join the people in the picture. Let's get back to the meet. I can't do Friday after all, and it sounds like a few of you can't, so let's shoot for some time in early July. When is everyone available?

Cool! The Three Brewers on Sparks you mentioned has nice views from the second floor, but it's bound to be a bit noisy. There's also Hull's Brasseurs du Temps (BDT) which is quite nice and only a few bus stops away from downtown.

I would love to... A weeknight might be easier as things are more quiet; a weekend might be tougher for me to join.
