Thank you! Tulum was an hour and a half drive from the Cancun Airport. Coba was 45 minutes inland. Valladolid is another 45 minutes further inland. Chichen Itza is a further 45 minutes inland. Looking at a map now after all of that driving, and I am amazed at how little of the peninsula we saw.

Probably my favorite part of Mexico! I'll have to dig up and find my pics of Tulum now. Amazing how cold the water is in those cenotes.

God I love the Yucatan.

I've been there a couple times, seen Tulum, Isla Mujeres, Ek Balam, Valladolid, Merida, Uxmal, and Campeche.

I had the absolute best cochinita pibil I've ever had in a little food court on the main plaza in Valladolid.

Very true. It being January probably didn't help either. But after a day of walking around in the blazing sun through ruins, it was always a refreshing welcome.

We had some very good cochinita pibil in Valladolid as well. Surprisingly, we probably had even better in Tulum.
