MLS showing it's New York bias again yesterday.

Releasing a video saying David Villa should have gotten a red card for kicking Cooper on Sunday but then not suspending him because the ref didn't card him for the incident at the time.

Then, releasing the 3 candidates for the MVP award - two NYRB players and the aforementioned Villa.

Bradley Wright Phillips - 24 goals, 5 assists in 34 games
David Villa - 23 goals - 4 assists in 33 games
Sacha Kljestan - 6 goals, 20 assists in 32 games

How Giovinco and Piatti were not in the top 3 baffles me - they are both better all-round players than BWP and Villa.

I don't follow MLS or soccer in general, but I had to look up the stats.

Giovinco has 17G and 15A (32 points - not sure if they look at "points" in soccer) in only 28 games. Statistically, he should have at least gotten in over Kljestan. I don't know if the stats are misleading though... like I said, I don't watch.

In any case, they're going to try and sell the league - so they're not going to waste the possibility of more exposure by having 3 finalists from NY teams.

Pretty much. There is also the fact that it is getting cold now so less people are likely to go to the Stadium. The game would have had more people (~20k or more) if it was at the Big O inside. Not a lot of people would want to freeze their asses off in below 15C temperatures.

Also damnit MLS... jinxing us again!

Make sure you get tickets to watch at least one of the games live (and sit as near as possible to the supporters section), the playoff atmosphere is amazing for both teams. Definitely a step above a regular season game!

Best game in TFC's history. This is going to be a pretty fun Eastern Conference Final, and one of them gets to play in the MLS Cup!

Absolutely their best game ever. TFC dominated the entire game.

Tickets to the playoff game at BMO Field on Nov.30th went on sale last night right after the game, all 30,000 seats in the main stadium are now sold out! They'll be opening up the new 8,000 seats upper deck of the South Side for the first time (it will also create a new BMO Field attendance record when those 38,000 seats plus general admission standing-room tickets are sold), the stadium is going to rock!!

Unfortunately, a weeknight sports trip to Montreal is not something I can swing right now, due to family obligations.

No doubt about it! It may create an attendance record for a home and away series in MLS, 61,000+38,000+standing room tickets=100,000+ in attendance over those two evenings!
