Stantec (back of pit) - still working on foundation pilings, but I think they're almost done.

My thoughts on Brookfield place now that it is coming together...

... Looks like a clone of the Bay-Adelaide towers in Toronto, albeit 20 meters taller.

Definitely out of left field, with no reasonable cause. Only with intent to create conflict.

Without derailing further, it is amazing how some posters respond with posts from certain cities.

Anyways, next.

^ Dude. He posted photos of Brookfield Place. It's one of the top 10, which is what this thread is about.

You'll also notice he posted a massive update in the "Construction sites in your city/town" thread as well.

This is what we do in these threads.

Do you really think he went out and took a long walk around Calgary taking photos to spite Edmonton? How does that even make any sense?

Check yourself, Cold, you're way out to lunch on this one.

There was actually a discussion about this in the Calgary forum. The original design was much closer to Bay-Adelaide than the current one. The tapering radius gives it something to differentiate it from just a box for desks to sit in, though. Especially if the second tower gets underway (because Calgary loves twins, for some reason).

That would be Chad's style but I don't think that's what he did here.

Curtainwall glass and boxy in form. Aside from that, there are noticeable differences in the curtain wall and, of course, the corners,

Actually I've never done anything of the sort or even remotely close to that, and you have literally no basis for making such an inflammatory and idiotic assertion. If you can't get over the minor disagreements we've had in the past that make you come to these sensational ramblings about me, please put me on your ignore list, as I've done with you.

I can't begin to comprehend the emotional complex that is required for anyone to actually believe that this happens, and am honestly surprised at some of the people expressing this paranoia.
