There's no such thing as being way too big or too tall my friend. Those sound like NIMBY words to me, now your not a NIMBY are you?

I will say even if the project may be nothing special to some people, at least it is another skyscraper to add density and add even more the the great skyline of Chicago and expand the loop even farther! This building is also a pioneer because it will not stand out forever, it will be surrounded by several other skyscrapers in the coming years as the south loop and the loop as an entire continues to grow.

Wow. What a difference 45 floors makes. I live in MP Tower 2 and the difference in views is stunning. I guess its something you always know, but when you actually see it, it is amazing.

You had some pretty darn good access!

When pondering this tower, the one thing that keeps jumping back to the front of my mind is just how damn tall it appears. It's ridiculous. It looks like a supertall from up close, from a great distance away, and from on top of the tower itself.

I guess things are all relative. OMP might have been lost among the giants of Loop or Near North sides. But its particular, isolated location makes it a stand out.

It is practically an optical illusion.

^ Love that last shot. The building has an unusual timelessness the way you have portrayed it, and it almost seems like it was planned with its greater context in mind.

You should return here to capture it again when it is complete. This view of the building might be its most flattering, and it will be a short-lived one.

^I definitely agree about this angle being the most flattering. This angle doesn't have the various forms and facade treatmeants of the other angles that make the building look so haphazard. This view also showcases the main reason I am pleased that this building exists, which is that it extends the skyline so much and makes Grant Park feel as expansive as it is.

This building is wonderful, it looks so much taller then 734 ft, looks to be about 900 from some vantage points, like that last photo. It wont look so tall though after the other 3 buildings are completed. I am so sad I am not living there anymore to witness this building.

It will be even more exciting when the taller towers proposed for this site eventually begin construction! This baby however will lead the way!

To me it certainly feels like a bookend, to be the eastmost point of a wall. It's not meant to stand alone, it's meant to have a forest of skyscrapers behind it.

Great shots.I took almost the same shot from a boat in late September 2007.
I want to take another long shot of the skyline this year.
