Building components of famous old buildings ---> construction of new buildings

Hello all,

I recently read an article about the Palace of the Republic, the former East Berlin government & cultural center, which was deconstructed from 2006 to 2008.

Apparently, 1,600 tons of its steel was then shipped to Dubai, to be used in the construction of the Burj Khalifa.

I'm pretty fascinated by this fact, and I was wondering if anyone could think of any other cases of this. Specifically: when large, famous buildings have been torn down, and their building components have been reused in other (famous) buildings.

Thanks for your help!
