Not the fastest elevator, the CN Tower elevator shoots up 1200' in just 60 seconds.

Looking at the hemisfair footage reminded me of Fiesta Texas, (with the themes.) Maybe they should move SixFlags to Hemisfair!J/K
I took these pics a few weeks ago, I parked in the Vistana parking garage.

Grand Hyatt looks tiny next to the Drury and the Tower is hidden behind Tower Life Building

Towneplace Suites; now working on 2nd and final floor above original roofline.

Look how dirty that facade used to be. Taken in Jan.

Hotel Indigo; set to open Jul. 09

Having grown up there, San Antonio always reminded me of an African city. I think it's the way that there are so many random open spaces downtown and the way that it was heavily built up in the 70's and then not touched much since.

That's a 21-story building lying on its side. Too bad it's not downtown.

Took these pics from one of the North Star Mall parking garages on Sunday. While up there, a mall security guard comes up to me and ask what I was taking pictures of. I told him I took pics of the surrounding buildings and skyline. He was OK with that. He pretty much just wanted to know if I was taking pictures of the mall itself because apparently, that is a no no. I did get a little of the mall in some of the pics.

downtown

Quarry smokestacks and The Broadway in the distance

surrounding buildings

Ah, memories.

For the last 15 years, the surface lot to the right of the maroon SUV has been my nightime free parking lot of choice when headed to Pat'O's or Howl with friends. There is rarely an attendant working the lot after 10 pm.

Sharing my secret with the board for your parking pleasure. Just hoping the lot owner isn't a ssf member. lol.

Awesome photos Miaht82. I've always loved aerial photos and I really like these because they're from way up high. I hope to one day have a flight that takes us over San Antonio.
