Phipps Conservatory is located at the entrance to Pittsburgh's Schenley Park and has silver-level LEED certification.. The Welcome Center has energy savings of 40% which is 22% above the required level for Silver LEED Certification. This is the first LEED Certified visitor center in a public garden in the U.S. and will serve as a model for other public gardens and conservatories around the world.
