I wonder how much this show contributes to the economy. Its got a huge fan following and they even have a convention for it. There are so many tourists who include going to "Storybrook" aka Steveston has a must see spot and put it in their vlogs etc. And there are even tours available to see shooting locations. The show is probably one of those shows people just connect with and freak out when they can touch the door of the library.

I have watched the first 3 seasons am in the midst of the 4th trying to catch up.

It's a good one because the village of Steveston actually exists. While I was in NYC I had to check out the actual Firehall from Ghostbusters and other locations from the film.

Ditto people in Dubrovnik for Game of Thrones.

The remake of the old Goldie Hawn movie Overboard, with Anna Faris now as the lead, was apparently also filming in Steveston on the weekend.

it looks like they got rid of the sails at Canada place and the top of harbour centre in this commercial. Just saw this commercial on CNN.

And the Chevron sign.

I guess that building under construction is the Exchange Building?

You can see more of the edits at the end with that other graphic. They also removed the Shaw logo, removed the crane on the Exchange, took out all of the Pan Pacific Hotel as well.

The trailer doesn't show any Vancouver really, but I guess it is still filmed in here.

The Man in the High Castle - September 9th

On the way to the 105 Keefer open house I bumped into this film set at the Concord Lands. Assuming that they start developing this area in the near future, I wonder if the next empty parking lot of choice will be the city owned lands where Cavalia sets up.

B.C. film production to top $2.6B in 2017, setting new record

CKNW
By Simon Little
Digital Reporter

If you’ve spotted one of the many crews set up around Metro Vancouver recently, it’s likely no surprise to you that B.C.’s film industry is booming.

According to Creative BC, the independent agency charged with promoting creative industries in the province, that’s not just movie magic: the latest numbers show motion picture productions are set to spend a record amount in the province this year.

Boosted by a low Canadian dollar, motion picture expenditures in B.C. are estimated to top $2.6 billion this fiscal year – the highest ever – up 35 per cent from 2015-2016.
