One of the cities that I'm dying to get to. I feel like Melbourne doesn't get enough credit compared to Sydney. I'd take Melbourne over Sydney any day. Thanks for the pictures!

Fun thread tayser. Good looking city. But I was wondering if he went over and talked to her when she got off the phone?

Thanks.

Nice shots. Melbourne and Sydney seem to be Australia's only true urban cities (not off from Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal here...but one could argue Halifax, Victoria, Calgary, Ottawa, Quebec City...)

Jan/Feb is the peak of summer: shorts/t-shirts/shirts/sunscreen/hats. Take a single windcheater/jumper + jeans in case there's a cold change (not unheard of to go from 38+ degrees one day to 20 degrees the next).

Melbourne is such an attractive city, and the people watching looks right up my alley. I really need to get down there while I'm in Japan...

Your excellent photos provided me with my first real look at Melbourne. Wow, what an amazing city! It's about time I go visit Oz.

I love how old the city looks, but at the same time it looks so young and modern.

Also, just going off of these pics, Melbourne looks like it is a very young city population wise.
