That's pretty damn good for something done during lunch hour. Simple, glassy, elegent. The roof element is conservative and that's a good thing. I like how you made the podium incorporate elements that are similar to the warehouse building next door but still made it look very contemporary. Only thing I can think of that I don't like is the rounded corner on the podium, as IMO it looks a little out of place.

Much better than the actual proposal though.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get your textures from on such short notice, assuming you didn't already have them stored on your computer?

Don't waste your breathe on the troll. Every hour and a half there are a flurry of misinformed, ignorant, condescending or pointless posts made by Caltrane that offer you no alternative than to love Toronto or face a continuing barrage of unwavering boosterism.

I'd like it better without the rounded corner and the horizontal band of stone removed on the upper floors of the setbacked side of the podium(tired ...can't explain it better)

Although I agree, however, many rooftop elements can look terrible (see dunce cap, 90's pyramids, 80's arches, etc).

What, this example of design-review-panel-guidenlines-gone-bad doesn't turn your crank?

Haha, I see that you've determined why I used 'dunce cap' as an example.

One of the best examples of "context? what context?" roof treatment on the globe.
