^^^ That little midrise building against the podium on this is so simple, but makes such a difference when it comes to street level interaction. I don't know why more developers don't find ways to make better use of the street frontage of their sites.

Because there's no legal or financial imperative to do so? I'd love to see there be some incentive (through bonus or whatever) given to developers who mask podiums fully from street level.

Sick paneling going up on the kiddies. Is the corten steel? Lots of variation in tone.

Corten would actually be more uniform than this.

It looks like a mix of brown anodized panels to give a modern spin on the warehouse look.

Probably just anodized panels, but corten doesn't start out evenly colored out of the factory, it takes some time to rust to an even patina. For example:

vgnezdoto.com

However, it probably isn't corten because each individual panel seems to have a fairly even color. I guess we will find out for sure after a few rain falls. If the color starts streaking changing that will be a dead giveaway. I'll look in person next time I'm down there.

It is most assuredly not Corten. Just anodized aluminum panel with some lame gradient coloring.

I don't mind it, but it looks like it's straight out of 1991.
