New cooling pieces added on the tower today.. silver canisters in the center at least

they will bring up the lantern by chopper rather than by crane ....

currently in Taiwan and just checked out 101's damper (it even has its own mascots.)

What kind of damper does this thing have?

Work on the cooling towers seems to be resuming.

I was told the external elevators will come down at the end of November.

These photos are great; I love them. I really love this city; I can't speak for anyone else on here but it has a very European feel to it; many of my friends in Manhattan think the same. Love these photos

I've watched them do it with what looks like suspended window-washer platforms, raised on lowered by a pulley. Some of them also just came off in the wind/rain/snow on their own accord.

I remember before the first Comcast tower was built. I wished that something could fill the gap between the Verizon and Mellon towers. It sure was filled with a vengeance.
