More photos of beautiful downtown Greenville:

This is an interesting shot from a different part of the CBD:

A couple more from Main Street:

St. George's Greek Orthodox Cathedral in downtown, and in the distance is the Italian-inspired Villagio di Montebello on the southwestern slope of Piney Mountain:

One of the reasons I love living in Travelers Rest: That's the view that I have in my rearview mirror on the way home every time I leave Downtown Greenville.

Would love to see some of the pics if you could find or post. Always like to see how visitors "see" the city. I remember the first time I visited here, my first impression (and many of my photos reflect this) was the sheer amount of trees and greenery all through city center. You travel to Greenville on business?

Greenville's new ballpark, 'West End Field,' has been selected as "Ballpark of the Year" by Baseballparks.com. The park, which was built to imitate many of the features found at Fenway Park in Boston, was selected over both Major and Minor League stadiums across the nation, including the new Busch Stadium in St. Louis. Read more at GreenvilleDrive.com.

Also, West End Field was selected by ESPN as being one of the top six ballparks in the country you must see: http://sports.espn.go.com/travel/news/story?id=2522251

...and on top of that minor league football might be coming back to Greenville: http://greenvilleonline.com/apps/pbc...EWS01/60829008

Here's some pics from my last visit (in Feb 06). Not the best quality, but you'll get the idea.

Great density in this shot; it surprised me a little, as I've not seen downtown from this angle before:

Great shots, Ex-Ithacan!

I especially love the three taken from the top of the Spring Street Garage and the one taken from North Main going into town just before crossing Stone Ave. Those are great angles!

My, has RiverPlace changed a bit since February.

Thanks guys. I may have mentioned this before, but Greenville is in my top ten smaller cities list for best skyline. Several years ago, while driving past on I-85, I decided to check out the city since I'd never been there or heard much about it. Seeing a couple of towers looming from the freeway to downtown made me glad I decided to stop by. I try to check it out every couple of years now and check on the progress. Downtown Greenville has really turned the corner imo. Look forward to more pics and info here, and more stops on my trips to Alabama.

Thanks for the photos EXI! Love the one of Mary's Restaurant!
RT was talking about us all getting together for a photo walk.....cough.....maybe we could plan that to coincide with a day you're through the city.

Winter time skies in Greenville are great for photoshoots....clear, dry and deep, deep blue. Let us know.

This view will become even more dense with the addition of The Pinnacle on Main, just to the right of the Landmark Building.
