Its not that bad, a lot better than the 1950's parking garage that was there before. Thats for sure.

Maybe he's confusing it with the highly visible mid century garage (with the ugly neon PARKING sign overlooking the river) that was at 300 N LaSalle? Both these sites began development at the same time (2006ish).

The old surface lot did have a bit of Daliesque feel with it's angled and undulating cracked asphalt surface ;-)

This was at 300 N LaSalle - somewhere in that thread is a photo shopped image of the current tower with the old garage incorporated.
