Agreed. The view driving towards downtown on 98th ave from the east gives you a great view along the river valley to the west, and the size of the financial district. IMO the standard view from the south side of the river really doesn't give the best impression of Edmonton's skyline. You can't even see EPCOR in most of them.

My favourite view of Edmonton is from the north, driving on the Henday across the Cambell Road overpass. Kilometers of houses and then all of a sudden the city centre.

A VERY rough sketch (by me) of what Montmorency station surroundings in Laval could look like in about 5-7 years, as seen from CEGEP Montmorency :

Projects : Place Bell (far left), Espace Montmorency (the cube-shaped building behind UdeM Campus) and Urbania 2 (the buildings in the right half).

There is still an empty lot just across the street, I hope they will come up with a cool project! (I think the city wants to build a Great Library somewhere in Laval, IMO that would be the perfect spot!)

I agree, a Great Library would be perfect on that location.

Great job for the sketch!

Is a great library like a central library?

I believe the empty lot you refer about is owned by Université de Montréal. Plans originally called for two buildings for the university.

That is amazing. Thanks. I would not be surprise if the region's next tallest building is to be constructed in Laval.

Future Skyline along Trillium Line north of Somerset in Ottawa.:

Unfortunately, I can't find the same view today, but this is the Google Earth view of the area:

The roadway (Somerset) in the middle crossing the O-Train line is the same as the one on the future skyline image. The area is mostly empty fields and industrial buildings dating from the 40s-60s.

I'm looking forward to seeing all those built. You forgot to include Norquest, Dub's 104 Ave. building, MacEwan University, CNIB tower and two other towers along Jasper Ave.

^^ Your Delta is also a bit short, but this does give a pretty good idea of just how much empty space is getting filled up in the next few years.

What are the chances of that tower in Gatineau actually getting built? (At that height)

Exciting times for the Hull skyline for sure. In fact there are so many skyscraper proposals in Gatineau right now that I've lost track.
