I was thinking the same thing, but I wonder how far you would see since Shenzhen has such a pollution problem.

But you get some spectacular views of smoggy clouds.

I was in Dallas on Friday evening as some thunderstorms rolled through. Even at the height of the storm, the Green Monster (almost 1,000 feet tall) was touching the cloud base; that usually does not happen when the rain's falling and the winds are blowing. I can imagine a 2,000-foot tall building would be lost in the clouds with the lightning flashing all around.

Coming out nicely.

Shenzhen is on its way to being a global superstar. Skyline 2020 will be amazing. Lots planned in the supertall category.

Next to the Jin Mao, this is my next favorite tower in China.

City has grown so much.

Same view but if the other proposals go through:

Wow! The overwhelming majority of Shenzhen's buildings are hideous, concrete boxes.

Wow, that video really makes you appreciate how much Shenzhen has grown (and a little queasy)-even just in comparison to the skyline six years ago. Shenzhen is coming alive, but I can't help but wonder where will it end?
