It even took that long for the family court building, which is obviously much shorter.

they have blocked off part of the outdoor area on the west side of the comcast center and some of the landscaped areas bordering the walkway have been excavated which leads me to believe the early work we are seeing around 18th is related to the concourse extension.

Nice pics shadowbat.

On another note, I think construction on this building should be stopped immediately because the ticket booth for the parking lot has historical value. It's a shame they are going to remove that booth to build this building!

I get the feeling that the longer this thing takes to really get going, the more bad jokes will pile up in this thread.

[To which, incidentally, I plead guilty as one of the chief offenders. ]

^ Yeah I was actually going to say that you beat me to it. I also heard they want to lower the building height to 850 feet and a spire to 974 feet.

LMAO~ Yes Philly Fan, I just read #788 post. You're right! Life in Prison, with NO chance of parole for you. Now, back to your cell! (Just kidding) Actually, the reason for the delay may be that the architects are considering adding 10 more floors on for condos. (Hey I can joke too!)

Once again, "great minds . . . ."

Or, at least, one great mind and one kinda mediocre one.

[Guess which one mine is. ]

I heard they were no longer interested in going green. The entire structure will be built of wood. Instead of glass, it will be clad in deer hide. The spire will be made of elephant tusks.
