Absolutely spectacular! I love my city and your threads more than do it justice. I'm glad you go beyond downtown and midtown, actually giving the neighborhoods a look. Thank you so much and keep them coming!

The kind of Architecture in Detroit is what most cities in the U.S. could only dream of having.

Gorgeous.

The Laphroaig that I'm currently drinking isn't necessary to enjoy images of Detroit but it surely makes everything even more enjoyable.

Was feeling homesick and came here for some relief. Thanks again, a year later.

It's been a long time since we've had a photo tour of this caliber. Any takers?

There are tears in my eyes seeing Detroit's fantastic shots day and night!

I was there, across Detroit River in Windsor side on those rivershore rocks. Touching.

Thanks for bumping this, I missed it first time around. There are some magazine-quality shots in there.

I been thinkin too that this is definitely gonna be a tough act to follow, great photos.

I recognize this house that area its like a mini westside heidelberg project. As a matter of fact one day i happened taking a detour on my way back from downtown due to heavy traffic congestion i ended up passing through that part of Brightmoor.

After being stuck in traffic for a over an hour me n my friend decided a cruise through a quiet neighborhood sounded like a nice change of pace and it was on the way so why not. My friend was really hyped it was funny she made me stop so we could get out so she could pose in front of a few houses.

But i'm really rooting for the grand river and lasher area. After kwamie sold that city owned golf course to that mega church for the purpose of protecting it for the future and then the church prudently decided that it had no business running a golf course n it shut down the area was hit pretty hard.

There's a lot to be said about the old redford area especially since its between the grandmont rosedale area and the burbs, there's plans to redevelop 2 blocks at the intersection of gr n lasher by a major downtown developer and the 8th prescient across from the new meijer shopping plaza is reopening. It has a arts scene too that i hope is valued because over the past ten years its been the one saving grace for the area.

....

By the way where was this taken? I was thinking it was in the Grandmont-Rosedale area because you were out that way and it looks really familiar, although i know it could be several other areas on the Northwest or even the Eastside there's a few neighborhoods with that look.

Thanks for posting those wonderful pics of Detroit. A few if those skyline pics are the best I have ever seen. It is a city on the rise and I hope to get back there one day soon.
