I like this building. At least it's not as postmodernist as other lowrises built recently. Simple, and elegant, and the cladding looks high quality.

Here's a few updated pics of the FEB project. Looks like they're doing some road work in the Phase II area.

It looks like the FEB webcam has been adjusted to get a better view of the continued construction of Phase I.

I came across a Channel 3 news story from yesterday about the FEB project. It's nice to see some shots from inside the buildings. And it looks and sounds like work is progressing nicely.

See the Possible: Flats East Bank project

The construction work on the Flats East Bank project is really heating up. "Our building façade is completed in both the tower and the Aloft hotel and the tenants are building out their space as we speak. Restaurant projects are just about set to begin". For the future of cleveland, the sky's the limit.

It's relatively plain but has a pretty nice presence.

although i am kind of bummed that is just a generic aloft instead of a tower style, i am very glad aloft is there. that and the awesome new hostel just across the cuyahoga on w25th st will both really go a long way toward opening up downtown stays for younger visitors:

i am really looking forward to phase two and the addition of more new residential -- stay tuned its on the way!

I hope the building has a cafeteria. Breakfast/lunch options are a bit of a walk from there.

Northwestern Mutual signs on at Flats East Bank office tower, taking most of 6th floor

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Northwestern Mutual will fill most of the sixth floor of the Ernst & Young Tower at the Flats East Bank project, adding to the stable of tenants for the city's first new high-rise office building in years.

The financial services company said Thursday that it has signed a lease on nearly 17,000 square feet in the tower and plans to move there in November. Based in Milwaukee, the Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co. has 100 financial advisors and other employees in its Cleveland office, at the Ohio Savings Plaza building on East Ninth Street.
