ya i guess it's similar to Calgary, but way less buildings than Calgary. Charlotte looks about as FLAT as Edmonton though!

growth doesn't guarantee more tall highrises. Edmonton's growth over the last 10 years has been great and very steady, and now over a million in the metro area, but the number of tall highrises at least has been a tad on the slow side. we have built medium height condo's for several years, just not a lot of tall buildings. only in the last few years have we started on some tall ones, and a few are now finished.

Just came across this thread. I love Charlotte's skyline. It just looks refreshing if that makes any sense...

I love Charlotte so much! Even more since I was there in August!! Especially in this recession, wow. Thank you, great pics.
