looks like an even higher section of the lantern is lit tonight. It's like they're testing one portion at a time. The north looks great with the tape removed, though the color difference between the beveled bottom section and the plain hotel section is a little jarring from a distance. Not so much up close when you can see the difference in materials and it makes more sense.

EDIT:
was playing softball at 19th and Wallace tonight (great view of the building from due north) and overheard a few guys on the other team talking about the building and how it looked like "made of legos", "way too wide", "stupid square point thing", and "weird lighting" (that one I'm figuring is because they're only testing small parts of it and the critics just didn't know.) Curious how the rest of the general populace feels. 90% of my discussions with anyone abotu this building are just what I read here rather than polling average joes walking down the street.

A lot of people I've talked to think that it looks good. Most just know it's the tallest in the city and don't care much more about it than that.

Thanks TCO. That first shot from above the Art Museum of the city in morning mist is just awesome. It almost looks like a scene from Star Wars or something.

The CTC adds so much to the skyline, especially from that viewpoint.

Are there any current shots from the Stadium perspective sown above that doesn't have that lighting tower blocking Cera & UCity?

Thanks.

are those extremely large photos supposed to be in high res, or are they low res that are just blown up 1000%? Maybe it's just my screen, but most (not all) are not sharp at all and don't show much detail. Def appreciate the shots, just not sure if you know that they may not be coming across as you intended.

I've brought it up before. He will not compress his images for some bizarre reason.

(Off topic again, sorry) The app I use resized my original photos (6000×4000) automatically, then I sharpen the photo to bring out more detail. I'm not going to resize it any smaller because I choose not to. Please appreciate that I get photos for self interest and for you guys. Thanks

I haven't seen images this blown up since I used to browse the personals on Craigslist.

But if you just zoom in to like 50% on Chrome the pics look great. Thanks TK2001!
