Congrats to Ottawa. The season has been a great success with this trip to the final 4.

Oh well... Oilers can't blame the refs here.

It was a good run, but the Ducks were the better team.

Please Edmonton fans don't run in here complaining about cheating, refs, Betman, etc. Ducks were the better team

Were they though?
The luckier team maybe. Definitely a lot of veteran leeway.

Ah well. Next year.

Nah, the ducks werent better, but they got a couple lucky breaks.

That was evenly matched, could have gone the oilers way very easily...we all know what happened and it didn't.

Fun season, next year should be good.

Nope... Refs were ok.

The fucking Ducks did a better job tonight.

They are not there better team.

The Oilers were burnt 2 of those games. Helen Keller could see this.

Bull Shit NHL.

And dont say that this is not the end result. Because it is.

Just about guarantee you Ducks fans were bitching about the refs at some point. I'm sure the Oilers had a lot of calls go their way but as a fan you gloss over them and forget whereas when it goes against your team everyone focuses on how terrible the refs are. As a team if you think the refs screwed you have to win the next game. That's the beauty of the 7 games series, there are lots of chances to win.

Welcome to the club, Edmonton.

^Indeed.

McDavid will be better next time he hits the playoffs. Getting a second series in was a nice bonus for the Oilers. 9 points in the playoffs isn't bad. Not dominating, but he got to play against a couple of very seasoned playoff teams.

Very good game by the refs by all accounts.

hahaha typical Oiler fan response....You got beat. Plain and simple. Calls go both ways but even then there were opportunities to win games that they didn't. I thought McGeezus would disappear in the playoffs. Where he didn't exactly disappear he wasn't exactly dominant either. Welcome to the playoffs.

Really...Sportsnet...CBC....HF boards...and all the rhetoric out of Edmonton this year would have you thinking much differently. Finally, we can watch hockey without the constant banter of McDavid is going to lead the people to the promised land.

Someone seems a little bit jealous. Let me guess, a Canucks fan?

Not jealous...just tired of McGeezus this and McGeezus that. There a lot of other great stories to report on from the playoffs. Karlsson from Ottawa being one of them.

Karlsson has been getting plenty of good press, and deservedly so. I'm looking forward to the McDavid this, McDavid that, over the next 15 or so years. Get used to it.

How about those Senators!!!! I hope the focus on this thread turns to the only Canadian team in the final 4!! Constant underdogs all season and through the playoffs, the Senators have displayed skill, class and finesse all season long. This has been a great ride for a very deserving and gritty team. No quit in them so far. They are in tough against the Pens, but I think that's what everyone said for the 2 previous series they were in. Lets go Sens. Represent!!!!

Pretty good experience for the Oilers moving forward, they did really well with not very much experience. Going to be high expectations going into next year, we will see how they handle it.

Really want to see Nashville beat Anaheim, the Ducks played well, but they're too easy to hate.

Congrats to Ottawa, in tough against Pittsburgh, but pulling for them for sure!
