North East Transmission Line Under Consideration

Prince George, B.C.- With the Northwest Transmission Line expected to be under construction by later this summer, BC Hydro is now looking at the potential for a north EAST transmission line.
“It is all very preliminary” says Doug Little, B.C. Hydro Vice President of Development. “We are in the evaluation phase, we will be starting this summer some consultation with First Nations and communities. We are talking to the natural gas companies that are active in the north east regarding contributions towards the cost of that line.”
