Walked by this the other day, and reaffirmed that it's my favorite U/C supertall in NYC. The MoMA connection is great as well, because MoMA is one of the best museums in NY.

This is one of those rare towers that I don't mind waiting for.
For me, this is on my very short list of all time skyscraper favs spanning across every city on the planet.

Between the Chrysler and 53W53, I'm not sure which one is more iconic.
Thoughts?

I honestly don't know how they can build a complex tower like this in such tight and narrow space.
NYC construction workers are amazing!

Probably Chrysler, as it was the first 1,000 footer and has had its place in the New York skyline since 1930. 53W53 is a formidable building in its own right, but when it's done, there will be so many buildings in Midtown that are taller than it, meaning it won't have that "icon" status that Chrysler & ESB had for so long.

Is it the construction workers or the architects who are amazing?

This tower will be iconic for its design. Its not the height that makes this one special, though that doesnt hurt. Let the other, taller towers battle for height in Manhattan. This one is something more special.
