it is a thoroughly badass big fat cool looking monster when you're standing like a flea on J.F.K. Boulevard or anywhere else near its base for that matter looking up at it.

So yea I like it

Re: CTC

It's not a radical design by any measure, but will become a trophy building for us. As a matter of fact, it would qualify as a trophy bldg in any densely populated city in the World.

As a matter of fact... huh? Well, if you say so, then I guess it must be a fact.

I really like the building itself. And I like its form in the skyline when looking from the west or east (from a point where it's not being blocked by Comcast, obviously).

But not a big fan of its bland width on the skyline when viewed from the north or south -- it diminishes the skyline as a whole rather than enhancing it. I think the spire might help break up that mass a bit, so I'm hopeful.

Those are awesome, especially the one on top. It looks like it was taken from the Mellon Bank Center.

I think it's IBX actually. CTC is two blocks east of there and a block west of Mellon.

I think it's from FMC tower; both Mellon and IBX are in that photo, looking east.

I love it when it rains. I like the gray skies. The colors on buildings often get darker during this weather, and sometimes blend in with the sky. It's a really beautiful thing, and these pics show just how good CTC looks in the rain.

Is that the location of one of those condos Comcast added for Brian Roberts and pals?
