is there such a thing in Calgary ?
or a jazz or blues spot to eat ?
i have goggled, they seem more of a high energy spot than a quiet relaxing spot? Am i wrong ?
What are your suggestions ?
Thanks!
Check the JazzYYC website, there are lots of options.

For blues, there is the Blues Can in Inglewood.

Might want to check out Wine Oh's off of Stephen Ave. I believe they used to play all jazz, now they have a variety of live bands with different genres.

Really?

Raw Baw and Container Bar and probably just about every place on the Yelp list are NOT Piano Bars. They are anachronisms that don't exist anywhere, for the most part.

Plenty of places with live jazz. Kawa Espresso Bar has live jazz weekly. So does that new coffee place by Eau Claire whose name escapes me just now. Many other options but no, no "piano bars."

Welcome to the forum!

The only piano bar I can think of in Calgary is Aussie Rules in Westbrook:

http://aussierules.ca/

I went there once in 2009 and it was a pretty good time from what little I remember. There is a comedian that plays piano and picks on audience members. It's a place to take a date in the winter months.

P.S. I see you have met Rusty, everyone loves Rusty on this forum.
