There are a million ways to do it, but the most common/easiest are brackets and headlight bricks. You could just check out the digital file on my Brickshelf page to see exactly how I did it.

Basically the same approach as I did for One World Trade Center, but this one required a lot more design finesse.

Hey Spencer, have you thought about trying your hand at 40 Wall Street? It would cross another off your list of once-world's-tallest.

I've been waiting for years for those plates to become available in retail. My current small cache of them has cost me big $.

The modeling approach of that set seems rather similar to my own larger version.

There's a new book out, Brick City, by Warren Elsmore celebrating architectural icons built from LEGO. The 256 page book is a mixture of small scale micro models (many with building instructions) and larger, more detailed, inspirational models. The book is printed in full color with good production quality. It can be found at major bookstores and other online retailers for less than $20.

I was lucky enough to be asked to contribute a couple of my models. The UK edition cover shown above includes my Burj Al Arab. (The US edition cover features my Chrysler Building and Eiffel Tower.)

Below is a sample of the book, showing my World Trade Center model.

Past & Present

I've thought about doing this ever since I did my WFC model last year. The West St median design is based on its present-day state. Everything in the WFC is also a present-day representation.

Looks good. I've got to do this too. Even though I don't have a WFC model, I want the bases on my WTCs to match up.

Do you think you'll replace the windows on yours? Trans-light blue does seem to be a closer match for the Secretariat Building than trans-dark.

Probably. If anything it will help the spadrels stand out more.
