A thread name change and database change may be necessary for this project: The house-number sign placed above the main entrance on Lakeview Ave is "2550" instead of "2520". Their website still seems to be marketing it with the old number, but ultimately I guess "vingt" was just not as sexy as "cinquante".

I believe the title of the project has little to do with the actual address. It is also on Lakeview ave, but called 2520 Lincoln Park... So who knows what they are up to...

I think the base here looks nice. If the whole tower was done up like this, it would have been impressive. You really notice the difference between finishes from the top and bottom.

based on the site plan on 2520's website, there is going to be some sort of fence (steel or wrought iron probably) with a gate. So my guess is that it will be physically private but still somewhat visible from the street.

Why hope? We aren't paying for it, the residents of this building are. Therefore the public should not be entitled to this building amenity, where there's a huge public park out front. If I was paying big bucks to live in this place, I certainly wouldn't want random strangers stopping by.

Totally agree. Why should a private building have a public courtyard?

Also, how are people supposed to access the Cabrini chapel if the park is closed off?
Ah, I see - the corner street front space of 2520 is given over as a lobby and spillout for the chapel. Whatever, I'm sure I can find a way into the plaza...

The entrance at the southeast corner of 2520 off Lakeview leads into a large lobby that is specifically for the chapel. In other words, you will enter the chapel the same way as before the Columbus Hospital was demolished. However, it is possible that the chapel may also be granted special use of the courtyards.
