Hazaa! Finally passing the horrible AT&T building in height. Awesome.

It's more like comparing Stephen Baldwin & Billy Baldwin. One's a little taller, one's a little wider. They aren't exactly twins, but the resemblance is unmistakable. This building looks more like Atlanta's Viewpoint than Spire...it's just wearing nicer pants (better pedestal).

Another photo update from Denverinfill.com, early July (http://www.denverinfill.com/blog/index.html) Add 4 more floors from the last pic! But still only 1/3 of its total height...

Photo thread update for the Spire. They puttin' on the glass! I can't wait to see it in vast quantities to really get a feel for the facade.

I am amazed that they get to build so much above ground parking.

I love my sig too...sing it over the song and it works quite well...

One of my fellow forumers thought it cute to duplicate the facade on the building. Time will tell if it really looks like this :

Pics update - Spire

Here are some pictures from August 22nd and 23rd, respectively, from my fellow Mountain West forumers CPVLIVE and Okayyou, respectively. Well done, guys!

from the Southwest and the Denver Performing Arts Complex (CPVLIVE):

From the Corner of 14th/Curtis and roughly the same angle (Okayyou):

From the opposite side:

The Spire is still only on floor 23 in this picture, so I'd expect that it has only reached half of it's total height in feet. The tower is 41 stories, including the parking garage. 18 floors to go!

Here are a couple photos from a new forumer named cadetwhite. Well done sir! 3 posts and already contributing. I expect the Spire is on about floor 24 of 41 now.

Is there any word on when Spire is to top out? It seems to be moving at a decent pace now that the exterior details are being installed.

Any specific reason for having two cores?

Here is a great skyline prospective shot from Snodrifter posted on the MW forum. Thanks, good sir! This shot was taken from the west, looking east.

As far as when this should top out, Spire has been at about a floor a week for a quite a while now. Since the building is at floor 25 of 41, I would expect to see Spire top out in four months around year's end.

About the question of two elevator cores: the building is quite long, perhaps there was enough room for multiple cars, nothing more. Or maybe one core is stairs or mechanical cars, the other for tenants. I haven't seen the blueprints so I can't say for sure.

It's a very large structure, they're necessary for evacuation purposes.

Once again, I am stealing my fellow forumers' photos for the main thread. Here is a shot from CPVLIVE, from the same angle he shot his other photo a month ago: I think we're on floor 28/41 now.

And here is a photo from rds70, showing the Spire in the skyline (on the right). Another Denver project, the Four Seasons, is on the left (http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/showthread.php?t=136714.

Indeed. Would not be surprised to see a supertall in the coming years.

I doubt that we'd get a supertall within the next 20 years. I doubt we'll get a new tallest within that time either. However, we're getting a healthy amount of infill and midrises. I think many of use would be more thrilled to get the street life of a NYC before we get any supertalls.
