Thanks for the cool photos. What's that to the left of the ramp? Looks like some sort of temporary stairs or something. Looks like they might be down as far as they are going to go on the north east corner because they're not digging there anymore, just finishing up the west corners. Now they'll start preparing for The Big Pour©®™ we keep hearing about. They'll have to leave a ramp of some kind and work around it.

Edit: Hold on a minute! There's a cement truck in that last set of Mojeda101's photos. Isn't pouring cement considered "construction"? Pouring cement is an act of adding stuff, not removing stuff. However, don't know if what they are pouring is a permanent part of the building or not.

It could be for concrete encasement of underground utilities which is not part of foundation work.

Yes those are stairs for access to the pit. I guess the big pour is still set for December.

This reminds of the World Trade Center Site, very interesting and yet it is smaller than 1 World Trade I will be following this great new tower for LA.

There is an updated clear photo from this angle that shows lots of concrete trucks and what looks to be pilings near the buildings perimeter so the foundation work is on.

In this Mojeda101 photo you can see a row of piles driven all along the edge of what I think is the footprint of the tower, taking up the upper left quarter of the lot, and they are pouring cement by those piles. Not sure if those piles will be a permanent part of the foundation or temporary support to stabilize the ground, but I suspect they are temporary support during startup that is left in place as the foundation is built out. Not sure if that qualifies as construction, and don't see any real caissons yet. I would think that they would have to put in some big caisson piles first before doing the "big pour."

I wish this tower could gain about 10-20 floors. Itd be great if the highest occupied floor could break Library tower's roof.

It appears additional soldier piles are being installed. There are two stacks of steel beams laying on the ground. Perhaps additional excavation is to occur? Is this area the footpring of the actual tower? Would this be a correct statement?

^ I think it's safe to say that the large square on the upper left is the footprint of the tower.
